The classes have begun of the new British School of Xátiva, constructed by Franjuán
Last September the classes began in the British School of Xátiva, a modern school that FRANJUÁN constructed by phases, working on the execution of the second phase at this time. Once finalized, the school will have a built surface area of 10,000 m2 on a plot of 17,000 m2, 2 sports tracks, 2 libraries and a dining room. The British School Xátiva will have students from 0 to 18 years of age, from infants to accessing the university. The new school has large and luminous classrooms. In addition, the childcare rooms have individual patios, with direct access from each classroom.
The general layout of the building is based on an open organization formed by five main buildings that respond to the different educational units. They are located in all of the plot, articulated by different green zones, which are connected by open and covered communication passages. Access to both the building and to the common areas is projected in such a way that they are accessible to persons with reduced mobility.
The entrance to the installation is done through a diaphanous building on the ground floor, where the administration is organized on the upper floor. This space communicates with two walkways leading to a first building for secondary education and college preparation, and to a second building for primary education and childcare. In the central space of these two buildings is found the central patio with an amphitheatre for open-air events. On the side opposite the amphitheatre is dining room and kitchen building. These three buildings are connected by an open main cross-street that joins them and ends at the gymnasium, located in the back part of the plot. The space that separates the gymnasium from the rest of the buildings is dedicated to sports tracks and recess patios.
